Before buying a multi-figure minifigure set, write down the selling unit, promised figure count, confirmed assortment and stated equipment for each order line. Save the relevant listing and any clarification. When the parcel arrives, compare those expectations with the received components before mixing sets or building a scene.
An October 7 community discussion about a missing sticker sheet shows one buyer struggling to find the item in an automated parts list and then contacting customer service. It concerns a LEGO order, not a Minifig Muse order. The practical lesson is to keep a clear purchase record and describe the discrepancy; the post does not establish a defect rate.
Define what one order line means
Start with the product name and selected version. Record whether quantity one means one complete set or one individual figure. Then record how many selling units you plan to order. Keep the number of sets separate from the number of figures inside each set.
Distinguish complete figures, unique character designs and loose components. A set named for twenty-four figures does not automatically promise twenty-four different designs. Similarly, “pictured equipment included” does not by itself give an individual count for every accessory. Ask for the detail that your project depends on instead of filling the gap with arithmetic.
If you need a specific mix for a display, list that requirement as a question before paying: “Does this set contain the exact pictured assortment, and are substitutions possible?” An unanswered detail remains unresolved. Use our included-parts guide for the basic contents terminology.
Turn confirmed details into an arrival record
For the six-knight set, the confirmed equipment includes six helmets, six plumes, six toy spears and six shields alongside the six ABS figures. Those quantities can each have a separate expected row in your checklist.
The nine-warrior set includes nine ABS figures, nine swords and the hood-and-cloak equipment. Record the confirmed contents as described on that product's listing. If you need a breakdown of separately packed components, ask for it before making a loose-piece checklist.
The twenty-four-soldier set lists ABS, standard minifigure height and the pictured equipment as included. The number of unique designs and quantities of individual accessories are not confirmed here. A figure-count row can be specific while those other rows remain questions for customer support.
Copy this blank order-to-arrival worksheet
Make a separate sheet for each order line. Fill “expected” before ordering and “received” after unpacking. Add component rows only when the quantity or assortment has been confirmed.
| Order line or component | Expected | Received | Evidence or question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Product name and selected version | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
| Selling unit and number of sets ordered | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
| Complete figures per set | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
| Confirmed assortment or designs | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
| Confirmed equipment item and quantity | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
| Condition or unresolved discrepancy | ________________ | ________________ | ________________ |
Above the table, leave space for your order reference, purchase date, saved listing link and the seller's clarification. Keeping those details together makes the same sheet useful for both your display plan and a specific support request.
Check the parcel before combining the sets
- Match the parcel to the order. Identify the order lines you expect. If an order has separate shipments, check which lines the delivery record assigns to this parcel.
- Keep each set together. Use separate trays or clear areas so similar helmets, swords and bodies do not migrate between order lines.
- Recheck the packaging. Look through bags, folds and any supplied instructions before deciding a small component is missing.
- Check figure groups and equipment separately. Parts may arrive unassembled. Compare them with the confirmed record without assuming a missing assembled figure means every component is absent.
- Record what remains unclear. Write a specific difference, such as an expected shield that you cannot locate, rather than simply marking the entire set incomplete.
- Keep the remaining components together. Take actual photographs showing the received group or visible damage and use the relevant seller's support route.
Prepare a focused support request
Include the purchase record, product name, involved component and your expected-versus-received note. For a missing item, photographs can show the components you received; for damage, include a clear view of the affected part. Refer to the saved listing or written clarification that established your expectation.
For Minifig Muse, verified missing or damaged parts receive free replacements after review of actual photographs and the purchase record, with replacement shipping covered by the store. Use parts support and read the current replacement instructions.
LEGO Canada's minifigure help page distinguishes buying separate pieces from replacing missing or broken pieces in a new set. Its service applies to LEGO's own products. For another seller's set, use that seller's documented process rather than assuming the same catalog or replacement options apply.
Common questions
Does an absent online part listing mean the item was excluded?
No. Check the saved agreement and ask the seller. A lookup result alone does not settle what your order was promised to contain.
Should I count every loose component before buying?
Only use quantities that are confirmed. A total loose-piece count is less useful than clear rows for the figures and equipment your project needs. Browse Minifigures for retail sets, and check shipping details before planning around a delivery date.
Apply this checklist to the assortment you actually choose: the seven-figure ninja warriors and master set is a character lineup, while the eight-figure military squad lists its own equipment and base. Browse Military sets for that theme, and use each product page as the contents reference.
